Pair of extremely rare and Important Bow Porcelain Groups of the Solitary Sparrows, taken from George Edwards, the Natural History of Uncommon Birds, with painted tole mounts bearing Bow porcelain flowers. The birds perched on branches modelled confronting each other and with worms in their beaks. The feathers on their wings and tails beautifully incised.
The birds modelled in the same pose as the Edwards original engravings from Vol 1, pl. 18, 1743.
