Rare Chelsea Rabbit Tureen and Cover

[imageeffect image=”483″ width=”30″ height=”30″ align=”alignright”]

Fine Chelsea Rabbit Tureen and Cover, incredibly naturalistically modelled with great anitomical accurracy, the lower part of the tureen forming the head and body of the Rabbit, as large as life, its settled legs moulded as the feet of the vessel, the sides moulded in crisp low relief with bunches of leaves edged in tones of green with puce veining together with addition of applied snails crawling up the leaves, the head modelled eating a cabbage leaf and the coat beautifully coloured in tones of brown and dark purple, looking open eyed at the viewer. The cover formed as the top of the back of the Rabbit and the finial forming the long ears.
