Dr. Wall Worcester Shaped oval Dessert Dish



A Dr. Wall Worcester Shaped oval Dessert Dish, strongly and fully painted in the Chinese K’ang Hsi style with a formal floral design of a band of scrolling peony leaves and flowers, within panels of cracked ice and prunus flowers alternating with stiff leaf decoration within radiating arched panels of flowering chrysanthemum plants.

B.F.S. I.F.3 ‘The K’ang Hsi Lotus’ pattern. This illustrates the total success of the Worcester Factory in their mastery of copying the original Chinese designs.

Circa 1770

Dimensions:  Length: 11 ¼ ins. (28.5cms.)

Marks: Unique mark to this pattern of a precious object in underglaze blue.
