An extremely rare Chelsea Raised Anchor Period Model of a Jacupema of Margrave or Guan, taken in inspiration from George Edwards’ Natural History of Uncommon Birds, the bird perched upon a tree trunk its long neck supporting a combed and wattled head, its tightly closed wings adjoining its long graceful tail.

Circa 1749-52
